Day 3 of the 9th Regional Annual Lecturer Workshop led by AUN-HRE brought together insights on “Connecting the Dots,” with discussions facilitated by three resource persons: Prof. Surya Deva, William Gois, and Dr. Duanghathai Buranajaroenkij. Participants explored the intersections of human rights, migration, and development, followed by a session on transformative pedagogies in human rights education—highlighting practical ways to reimagine teaching and learning for deeper impact in HRE.

In the afternoon, the Community of Philosophical Enquiry (CoPE) approach, introduced by Dr. Vachararutai (Jan) Boontinand and Mr. Pii Arporniem, offered participants a reflective and dialogical method for engaging with complex issues such as the Right to Development, Gender, and Migration. The approach underscored the essence of Human Rights Education as more than international covenants and legal frameworks—it is about cultivating values, critical thinking, and empathy.

The day closed with reflections, reinforcing the idea that human rights education is not only about knowledge, but also about nurturing a mindset of dignity, dialogue, and transformation.
