SHAPE-SEA 10th Year Anniversary

For ten years, SHAPE-SEA has served as a regional platform advancing human rights and peace education, research, and engagement across Southeast Asia. Since its establishment, the program has brought together scholars, educators, students, and civil society actors to strengthen critical conversations and collaborative action on pressing regional issues. Through research grants, fellowships, publications, capacity-building initiatives, and regional dialogues, SHAPE-SEA has continued to empower homegrown scholars and emerging voices, while fostering inclusive, people-centered approaches to peace and human rights. As SHAPE-SEA marks its 10th Year Anniversary, this milestone celebrates a decade of partnerships, shared learning, and collective commitment to building a more just, peaceful, and rights-based Southeast Asia. The anniversary also reaffirms the network’s vision of expanding human rights and peace education across disciplines, strengthening regional solidarity, and inspiring future generations to shape a more inclusive and sustainable future for the region through education and research.
