The Governing Board of the SHAPE-SEA Program convened on 19 January 2027 in Bangkok, Thailand to review the program's 2026 milestones and set the strategic direction through 2027, guiding the program's priorities and ensuring a strong and impactful conclusion to the current phase of SHAPE-SEA. The meeting guided SHAPE-SEA's efforts to strengthen research, nurture the next generation of homegrown human rights and peace scholars across Southeast Asia, and translate scholarship into advocacy and meaningful impact. It reaffirmed the program's commitment to remaining responsive to the region's evolving challenges while advancing a just, equitable, and peaceful Southeast Asia.
